AG William Barr said Department previously reviewed allegations.
At what was likely his final press conference as attorney general, William Barr addressed the request for the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel to look into Hunter Biden’s potential tax issues. Though certain members of Congress had hoped to advance the current investigation to a higher level, Barr stated that there was no need.
“I think it’s being handled responsibly and professionally currently within the department, and to this point I have seen no reason to appoint a special counsel, and I have no plan to do so before I leave,” said Barr. “If I thought a special counsel at this stage was the right tool and was appropriate, I would name one, but I haven’t and I’m not going to.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For William Barr as he steps down from his position as U.S. Attorney General.
- That the Justice Department would uphold the law without partisan interests.
- For the Lord to lead this investigation to reveal the truth.
